The Gibson County Special School District is required to complete a TISA Accountability Report, which details how the district uses TISA funds to achieve specific goals for student achievement.
The TISA Accountability Report promotes efforts for school improvement. By providing feedback on academic performance, school climate, and student support services, parents help ensure transparency and guide data-driven decisions. Their input enables educators and administrators to identify strengths and areas for growth, fostering a more responsive and inclusive learning environment. This collaborative process strengthens the partnership between families and schools, ultimately benefiting student success.

This week's #GibsonCountyKind focuses on the simple act of holding the door open for someone. As Clare Pooley says, "In a world where you can be anything, be kind." Small actions like this can make others feel valued. Think about how unexpected kindness has made you feel.😊

Students at SGCMS in the 8th grade are currently preparing for and participating in “mock” job interviews to practice soft skills and prepare for their futures. Students spend time learning about the interview process which includes handshakes, resumes, how to dress for success, and how to answer questions in the interview. Students practice interview questions and then have a one-on-one interview where they are assessed on things such as eye contact, posture, manner of speaking, leadership qualities, and their resume.
