Reminder that all students entering the 7th grade will need a Tdap booster shot and an updated copy of their immunization form turned in by the first day of school.
The meal application for the 2022-23 SY is now open! A new meal application must be filled out every school year to be considered for free or reduced meal costs. (The free and reduced meal application can be filled out any time throughout the school year. )

Due to the threat of weather Cross Country tryouts will be canceled for Monday and now held on Thursday at 8am or 8pm.
SGCMS is excited to announce a Boys/Girls Tennis program will be offered in 2022 and beyond!
If your child is interested in playing, there will be a Parent Informational Meeting at South Gibson County Middle School on August 22nd at 6 p.m.
Tryout Date- September 28th from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Booster Club meeting at the middle school tomorrow night at 6:30. Parents of all athletes encouraged to attend.
Students (5th-8th grade) interested in running Cross Country will need to try out on either 7/18 or 7/21 at either 8am or 8pm. Students must bring a completed physical in order to try out.
SGCMS will hold Open House/ Meet the Teacher Night on July 28th. 5th and 7th grade parents and students should report to the gym at 5:45. 6th and 8th grade parents and students should report to the gym at 6:30. After being dismissed from the gym, parents and students will run an abbreviated class schedule so as allow parents and students to visit each of the four core classes.
Returning student registration for the 2022-2023 school year is now open. Registration is through your parent portal account. New student registration is done in person at the middle school and will begin Tuesday, June 28th.
Tomorrow, as part of our summer camp/summer school activities/curriculum, a medical helicopter will be landing near the practice football field in the early afternoon. We wanted to bring this to your attention so as not to cause alarm.

Friday, June 24th at Dyer School & South Gibson County Elementary
Students do not have to be enrolled at either school to
receive a free lunch. It is free for anyone 18 years and younger.
Lunch will be served daily from 11:00—12:00
(Parents may pick-up student meals without children present at the back of the elementary building)
